A massive part of our studios mission is breaking the negative stigmas that continue to plague our industry. Too many people still view tattoos and the industry like how it was in the 80's. Having tattoos no longer mean you are a criminal or untrustworthy. 808 Studios will work on dispelling these stigmas through a variety of social project and content.
THE VISION
We want to build 808 Studios into a creative empire, with tattoo shops across the North America in places like New York, Los Angeles, Toronto and more. Our studios won't just be tattoo shops, they will be creative hubs for artists of all kind to create and exhibit their work. A high-end community where artists from different medians and industries can collaborate on projects together. But, we will always remain true to the heart, soul and purpose of this endeavor, pushing the creative boundaries of the tattoo industry.
OUR HISTORY
PHASE 1
2021
Hamilton, ON
808 Studios started out as 808 Tattoo, a small boutique space out of a co-share salon building in downtown Hamilton. At just 120 sqft, this is where Jack started his journey as a tattoo artist and the path to where 808 Studios is now.

2024
Halifax, NS
After tattooing at a local shop for over a year, Jack reinvented 808 Tattoo as 808 Studios, a tattoo shop for elevated tattoo experiences housing space for 3 talented artists. It was a small space defined by its character and tranquility.

Housing room for 9 artists, a unique 2600 sq/ft floor plan and gorgeous mid-century modern design, 808 Studios is the pinnacle of tattooing in Halifax. This is where 808 Studios will grow its roots and push the boundaries of the tattoo industry..
